June 23, 1975 was a red letter day in the history of sisters of St. Anne, Bangalore and the people of Thannipuzha. It was on this epoch making day, the sisters of St.Anne laid foundation for its first house in Kerala at Thannipuzha. We the sisters feel honored and privileged to have our first house on the bank of the sacred river Periyar, the birth place of the great Addwaidic Saint, Philosopher and great acharya Sree Shankara. The long cherished desire of the sisters of St.Anne to have a house in Kerala was materialized by Rev. Mother Presentation, the then Superior General of S.A.B through Rev. Fr. Louis Vadakkumchery,the brother of Rev. Mother Josepha SAB, one of the first Keralites to join sisters of Saint Anne, Bangalore, and Rev. Fr. Mathew Muttamthotty, the then Parish Priest of Thannipuzha. The whole - hearted support given by the Charismatic and Enthusiastic Priests and selfless service rendered and warm welcome accorded to us by the people at Thannipuzha and around will never be forgotten by the sisters and they will be gratefully remembered as long as the congregation exists. We gratefully remember the medical sisters of St. Joseph who offered their house and stood by us at our every need. The Pioneer sisters were Sisters Dorothy, Irene and Joyce Bertha. The aim of the school is to give its pupils a Candid education and social character formation which will contribute to the formation of citizens who will be an asset to the nation.

The School has always maintained excellent academic record and enjoys the reputation as one of the best schools in the state. Students from this institution have already become doctors, engineers, pilots etc. Every year a number of students of Std IV, VII, X get scholarships from the Government. Due emphasis given to sports and games has brought many a laurel to the school and its pupils. The school is now an array of colours as it is divided into 4 houses according to its name, Blue, Green, White & Yellow. Inter house sports kept everyone on their toes.

The greatest asset of the school is its qualified and dedicated staff- 48 teaching and 7 non teaching -The school has strength of 2000 students on its role. The commendable progress is the result of the dedicated and tireless efforts of a galaxy of renowned H.Ms like Srs. Irene, James, Nirmala, Theophine,Mary Joseph & Pushparani.

The institution has grown to this present Stature under the efficient guidance and sincere support of managers like Srs. Dorothy, Bernedette, Perpetua, Christopher, Alice, Philomina, valerian and Pushparani.

Bringing together different types of students to share common interest and ideals is a must. For this purpose, we arrange excursions & picnics for our school students every year and the students make use of this pleasant opportunities to enrich their knowledge with joy, happiness and cherished memories. School has an excellent band set. It encourages the musical abilities of students and this has earned school a unique status.

We have a well established Parent-Teacher Association which functions efficiently and strive for the fulfillment of the aims for which it is intended. The school is a great boon to the middle class families of locality as quality education is provided at affordable rate.
The school now has sufficient number of classrooms for running 3 sections each from LKG to Std X. We have well equipped Library, Laboratory & Computer lab. With the motto "Love and Service", the institution continues to serve the people in and around Thannipuzha.

On behalf of the Management, Staff, P.T.A. and Students I am very happy to express my sincere gratitude to our beloved superior generals-Rev. Mother Presentation, Mother Margaret Mary, Mother Angela Mercy and Sr. Isabel (Present Superior General) for their un interrupted interest, boundless help and most cherishable guidance in the development and welfare of this institution.

Expressing my sincere thanks to the parish priests of St. Joseph's Church, Thannipuzha. Fathers of MCBS Thannipuzha and OCD Perumattom for their whole hearted and sincere co-operation and services for all round development of the school.

I owe much to the parents for disciplining, co-operating and encouraging their wards - our students for remarkable achievements in academic, co-curricular activities and to the teachers for training and preparing them to their total development.

We look back to our by gone past with a feeling of profound gratitude to the Almighty God. Our past was promising and rewarding while our future is challenging and adventurous. We hope to widen our horizon of service in the field of education. May we implore the valuable co-operation of Parents, local and Civil Authorities, Well wishers and Benefactors to brighten the flame of our motto in the years to come.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVE

We aim achieving this objective with child centered and activity oriented methods with utmost care, love, understanding and firmness, so as to inculcate in the young minds, early enough the moral, ethical and cultural values, upholding human values and our composite culture, developing a sense of social responsibility and religious tolerance and enhancing competence and confidence to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
